        PLUG-IN HYBRID CARS

Plug-in hybrid cars are hybrid electric cars which can
be recharged by plugging into a standard power outlet.
These cars have a larger battery capacity and emit
less carbon dioxide (CO2).

Some plug-in hybrids can run in full electric mode as long as there is sufficient battery power, which means zero carbon dioxide emission if the electricity comes from a clean energy source such as solar or wind.
